A Message From CWFL Executive Director, Vikki Wagner

Dear Courageous Women,

It is with a heavy heart that I share with our CWFL community that the
Leadership Team has made the extremely difficult decision to suspend the
Courageous Women, Fearless Living Retreat indefinitely. As with so many non-
profit organizations, CWFL was severely impacted by the pandemic. Our
organization relies primarily on donations and modest program fees. As we were
not able to hold in-person retreats for two years, our ability to raise money to
fund ongoing programs was significantly, negatively impacted.

Since its inception in 2006, CWFL has provided this life-changing Retreat to over
500 women from all across the country as well as internationally. Nearly 75% of
those attending were awarded scholarships. We had a team of dedicated Teachers
and Staff without whom, the program would not have been possible. I would like to
personally recognize and give special thanks to our incredible teachers, Judy Lief,
Linda Sparrowe, Dr. Victoria Maizes, Dr. Chasse Bailey-Dorton, Jemi Steele and
Ann Braden, and our inaugural Executive Director, Adana Barbieri. Your collective
wisdom, guidance, and compassion are what made this program such a profound
success. I would also like to acknowledge with deep gratitude, our incredible all-
volunteer Staff. The friendships we formed will last a lifetime.

It has been my incredible honor to have been a part of this program - as a
Participant, a Staff Member, and finally as your Executive Director. This program
was life-changing for me and I am forever grateful.
I wish all of you continued courage and fearlessness as you navigate this journey
that started with a cancer diagnosis.

With love and gratitude,
Vikki Wagner
